What I’m Reading

What I am Reading Kennedy

If you like:

Poetry: James Tate’s collection of poetry titled, The Eternal Ones of the Dream, is a wonderfully constructed  collection. If you are a poetry reader and have not yet picked up Tate, I would recommend this collection.

Coming of Age: The Virgin Suicides by Jeffrey Eugenides is a haunting coming-of-age novel that follows the decay of one family as each of the five daughters takes their own life for no real apparent reason. These story is captured by young boys and retold in their adulthood.

Classics: One of my favorite classic novels is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. This story casts a dark shadow over the vanity of one young man and the sacrifices he made to remain young. Chilling and beautifully written.

Quick Reads: A short, but politically accurate Animal Farm by George Orwell surrounds the readers with talking animals and their interpretation of a utopian society without human influence.

Mysteries: Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn is a suspenseful novel that follows one marriage through diary entries and the story of a missing persons case. Absolutely chilling and shocking.

Dramas: Last, but certainly not least, is my favorite book She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb. A dramatic novel that covers the base of one woman’s life from childhood to adulthood and the traumatic experiences she goes through and how she deals with them. Quite sad and definitely makes you think.

About Kennedy

I have always loved fashion and the self expression that is allowed when choosing which outfit to wear each day; I try and change my style as much as I can, going from boho, to grunge, to preppy in order to keep myself entertained. I am now the web content writer for Klury and enjoy getting to work with designer clothes.
