Spring Florals

Klury Woven Dress

The Hermes wedges we added to Klury this week were begging for a walk in the Arizona sun. This afternoon I decided to take off my flats and go for a stroll down the Palo Verde lined streets. There is not a lot of color in our beautiful desert landscape, so capturing the yellow flowers and bright green trees was a must!

Speaking of florals…I am dying for a bouquet of Peonies!! I haven’t been able to find them anywhere. What is your favorite flower to have around the house?

Help Wanted

On the note of sunglasses, our favorite style from last year was certainly Prada’s baroque Round Sunglasses. We haven’t been able to stop thinking about them since first glance. Now that we are ready to bite the bullet and purchase a pair we can’t decide which style looks best.

What do you think? Classic black, neutral tortoise shell, or funkier stripe?

Reflecting on the past year of fashion, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite trends of 2011.

Menswear: Pulling in traditional staples of men’s wardrobes including: tuxedo jackets, fitted pantsuits, and even the fedora (thanks to Charlie Sheen), menswear was tailored to perfection created a modern silhouette for women in 2011.

Polka Dots: Stella McCartney’s Spring 2011 collection incorporated unique applications of the traditional polka dot to create sophisticated black and white looks.

Arm Candy: Thanks to fashion bloggers, like Blair of Atlantic-Pacific, piling on the bracelets became a staple look of 2011. Mixing old school friendship bracelets with gold watches and funky bangles became an essential part of finishing off an outfit this year.

Bold Colors: Although not a new trend, bold color blocking was back in full force. Gucci’s Spring collection introduce creative color blocking with rich hues. New bold color combination were also popular, including hot pink and red.

Mixed Patterns: Prada’s eclectic mix of prints revived the daring pattern mixtures seen by designers across the globe. Stripes on top of stripes and even jungle prints from Prada’s minimal baroque collection influenced all of us to step out of our comfort zone and try new pattern combinations.

What were your favorite fashion trends of 2011?
